When Patrice Doyle first called us it sounded more like an engagement announcement from a friend than anything like a client calling a photographer. "I'm calling to book my wedding with you guys" she said, right out, without any of the usual formalities. She says that Liz and I are like family because we've been photographing her family's weddings for the last 10 years; 5 of them now to be exact. It was just so sweet! It's the kind of thing that really makes us love our job. A short time later we were on the beach with them shooting their engagement photos. We had a great time as you can see. Patrice is pretty and sweet and her fiance Nick is funny and also very easy to photograph and they are just so good together. Our thanks go out to the whole family for including us again.

This past Wednesday we launched our new web site and calls started coming in. One of the calls was from Aimee Ellingsen. We had photographed Aimee's wedding to Chuck Krekelberg on the roof of Cooper Union way back in 1997. It was so nice to hear her voice. They had migrated all over the country since their marriage and are now settled in Ashville, North Carolina. Aimee runs CAKE, a web design company and was spending some time in Brooklyn with her co-workers, Thais, Jennipher and Veronika. She asked us to come to her friend Kora's apartment and shoot a portrait of the girls all together. We love traveling and NYC and so we rose to the occasion.
